Cheong Fatt Tze Mansion (Blue Mansion)
Cheong Fatt Tze Mansion, or the Blue Mansion, is a renowned 19th-century heritage site in George Town, celebrated for its unique indigo-blue exterior and blend of Chinese, Malay, and European architectural styles.
Located just a 5-minute drive or 15-minute walk from Fifth Avenue Hotel Penang at 14 Lebuh Leith.
The mansion is open to the public through guided tours only, held daily at 11:00 AM, 2:00 PM, and 3:30 PM. The adult ticket is RM25. Tours cover the history, architecture, and restoration of the building.
It also operates as a boutique hotel and features a restaurant serving Peranakan cuisine. Advance booking for tours is recommended. Comfortable footwear is advised due to tiled floors and narrow staircases.
