Beaches

Gertak Sanggul Beach

Gertak Sanggul Beach is a quiet fishing village and rustic beach on the southwestern tip of Penang Island, offering a peaceful escape and authentic local atmosphere.

The drive from Fifth Avenue Hotel Penang takes approximately 45–50 minutes via the Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu Expressway and coastal roads toward Teluk Kumbar.

The beach is not suitable for swimming but is ideal for observing village life, enjoying fresh seafood at local stalls, and watching sunset views. Support the community by purchasing food or drinks from village vendors.

Wear comfortable footwear and bring sun protection. Evenings are best for sunset viewing. There is no entrance fee. Parking is available nearby.
