Beaches
Monkey Beach
Monkey Beach is a secluded beach within Penang National Park, accessible via a 1.5–2 hour jungle hike or a 15–20 minute boat ride from Teluk Bahang.
The drive from Fifth Avenue Hotel Penang to the park entrance takes about 45 minutes.
The beach offers swimming, relaxation, and occasional snack stalls. Do not feed the monkeys. Camping is permitted with prior approval. There are no lifeguards or facilities.
No park entrance fee, but boat transfers cost approximately RM150–200 round trip for a group. Bring water, snacks, sun protection, and insect repellent. Weekday mornings are less crowded.
