Nature & Parks
Penang Hill
Penang Hill is an 833-meter-high hill station and nature reserve, offering panoramic views, a historic funicular railway, and lush rainforest trails.
The drive from Fifth Avenue Hotel Penang to the Lower Station in Air Itam takes about 25 minutes.
Key attractions include the funicular ride (tickets: RM40 adults, RM20 children for foreigners; cheaper for Malaysians), the Curtis Crest Tree Top Walk, and The Habitat with its canopy walkway. Colonial bungalows and temples dot the area.
Open daily from 6:30 AM to 11:00 PM. Mornings (especially sunrise) are ideal for clear views and cooler weather. Wear comfortable shoes and bring a light jacket. Avoid feeding wildlife. Dining options are available onsite.
