Tropical Spice Garden

The Tropical Spice Garden is a tranquil retreat set within a secondary jungle, featuring over 500 varieties of spices, herbs, and tropical plants.


It is a 25-minute drive from Fifth Avenue Hotel Penang, and is also accessible by Rapid Penang buses 101 and 102.


Highlights include themed zones such as the Spice Terraces and Poison Garden, a hands-on cooking school for Malaysian cuisine, and recreational features like giant swings and a reflexology path. The garden is also a home for various wildlife, including birds, butterflies, and long-tailed macaques.


The best time to visit is during cooler morning or late afternoon hours.


Wear comfortable walking shoes and bring insect repellent.
